nice video.
I was looking forward to one on spinning reels, maybe in the future they’ll do one.
Can you do a video showing how to clean the levelwind worm gear? Or describe how you do it. Do you grease or oil it?
So you never take them completely apart and soak them in dish soap or anything to get them completely cleaned out?
hi shimano what screwdriver to use to unscrew my shimano curado201e7 bolt at the cap there?
Yes it applies to almost all Shimano Levelwind reels.
does this video apply most shimano levelwind reels?
This series of maintenance videos are great. Thank you Shimano! Please add a series on your freshwater spinning reels also.
Why does this video start off like a korean soap opera?
@ ” The 2008 Shimano Stella. Sorry, in Japanese only.”
go japan and get 10000 sw.
nice
@snakeboy553 yes it would be good but if you want to get a great real for a LOT less money check out the penn battle the sizes 7000and 8000 will be able to bring in any sailfish out there and is a very smooth strong good looking and hase one of the smoothest drag systems out there but yes this is also a great real my opinion not worth the extra money over the battle:) hope this helps
@snakeboy553 I don’t know. I never touched one but I would buy it if I had the money. I think they come in all sizes and people describe them as the finest reels in the world
is this reel to big and clunky? for the big fish they have in this video?….. or is it a good rod for the canal and occasional ocean fishing for sailfish? or does it go both ways and you cant go wrong? please respond i need a good spinner rod!
@jetmea He got riped off.lol i got 1 for 750 including the butterfly rod i wanted and spooled
i didnt understand 1 word the guy was saying
Shimano, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Sony, Nintendo, …Damn …Japs make sum good reliable stuff
@powermugu Simply put, Paladin Gear is what Shimano name their high end gearing system, for along time manufactures found it hard to mix durability with smoothness… Eg a VERY smooth reel would have poor gearing, where as super strong gearing that was pretty much unbreakable would feel rough… Paladin Gear is the mix Shimano has created for smoothness and durability… Hence why the Paladin gears shit all of the Saltigas
@powermugu Paladin means: In the past, gear durability was sacrificed for gear smoothness, or smoothness sacrificed for durability. This is because the harder the gear material, the stronger the durability, but generally the rougher or noisier the drivetrain becomes. After testing many different materials for both the drive gear and the pinion gear, from zinc to brass, to stainless steel to different alloys of aluminum, the Paladin System means cold-forged, unbelievable molecular density.
@wigitinnz in flyfishing i prefer loop tackle…..
@derleineangler You cant beat Shimano at all,, its the best gear there is
whats the gear ratio on these?
LOL my frends dad walks into a tackle shop and ask the counter i want the best reel in the store! and he got a stella for $1000 LOL
Great reel no doubt but man you really pay for it. And the 84 yen per dollar exchange rate ain’t helpin’ either.
my dream reel
@milotist I think 7-8 at most.
@xBlAcKX0XMaGiCx What are paladin gears? I know it’s a very advanced gearing but can’t find enough information on this reel.
no one can beat Paladin Gears!!!!
the japs got some screwed up looking fish
it’s a great reel, but have you seen the price tag?!
